About the Artist
The Journey of
Self-Discovery
Based in Edinburgh, I never attended art school. My education came from countless hours in museums, dog-eared art books, and the quiet discipline of daily practice. What started as childhood doodles evolved into a lifelong pursuit of translating emotion onto canvas.
My work lives at the intersection of intuition and intention. Each piece begins with a feeling—sometimes sparked by a conversation, a melody, or simply the way light falls through a window.
Working across painting, drawing, and mixed media allows me to choose the voice that best serves each story. Some emotions demand the boldness of oil paint; others whisper for the intimacy of graphite.
I also love sharing this journey—if you're interested in learning, I offer one-on-one guidance for aspiring artists.

Behind the Canvas
The CreativeProcess
Every artwork carries the essence of its journey—from the first whisper of inspiration to the final stroke.
Inspiration
Every piece begins with a spark—a moment, a feeling, a fragment of a dream. I collect these impressions in sketchbooks, letting them marinate until they demand expression.
Exploration
Through thumbnail sketches and color studies, I explore possibilities. This phase is about discovery, allowing the work to reveal its true nature.
Creation
With preparation complete, the real work begins. I enter a meditative state, letting intuition guide each mark, layer, and decision.
Refinement
The final stage is about listening—knowing when to add, when to subtract, and when to step away. A piece tells you when it's finished.
